This is a piece created for the cover of The London LGBTQ+ community centre's first zine.  The cover is designed by Vivika Chugh,  edited by Cherokee Seebalack, published by Common press threads.
About the centre-The London LGBTQ+ Community Centre is a sober, intersectional community centre and café where all LGBTQ+ people are welcome, supported, can build connections and can flourish. Their  vision is for a more connected, belonging and thriving LGBTQ+ community in London.
As the cover of the Centre's zine, what mattered was conveying the welcoming, warm space we had created at the Centre. The physical and material aspects were important for sparking curiosity and encouraging people to visit. That’s why I started drawing the actual space—elements that make it cozy, safe, and home-like
